Yes, the ÌÇÐÄvlogÃÛÌÒ of Medicine Geriatrics Fellowship recognizes the importance of mentorship in fostering careers and has a formal mentorship program. Each fellow is encouraged to identify a faculty mentor within the first six weeks of the program based on their academic interests or other commonalities. If fellows do not identify a mentor, one is assigned by the program. The fellows meet with their mentor at least quarterly to discuss professional and personal growth. Fellows also work with a research or content mentor on their academic project.
Maintaining physical and emotional wellness is a prerequisite to professional success. Our fellows engage in wellness activities (i.e. relaxation techniques, reflection, etc.) through the program and have access to a number of programs to support their well-being through the College. These can be explored further on our Resident and Fellow Wellness page.
