Journal Club Residents' Presentations
Monthly journal club sessions are conducted in small groups, and all are facilitated by pairs of research and clinical faculty.
Interns meet as one group, separately from upper levels. Intern sessions focus on interventions for common psychiatric illnesses, emphasizing knowledge directly related to daily clinical work, while also underscoring essential research and statistics concepts.
Residents in PGY2-4 years and faculty facilitators meet in small groups according to a house-system, which combines residents from all three upper-level years. Their journal club sessions cover a range of topics and research designs. Residents have opportunity to select and prepare articles for discussion.
Grand Rounds
The Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Grand Rounds are held weekly, featuring local faculty, as well as regional and national speakers. The presentations cover a wide range of mental health topics germane to our faculty, residents, fellows, and other mental health clinicians.
