EpicCare Link Information and FAQs
With ÌÇÐÄvlogÃÛÌÒ EpicCare Link, you can:
- Maintain continuity of patient care with your ÌÇÐÄvlogÃÛÌÒ patients.
- Send referrals electronically to avoid delays in patient care.
- Upload care documents to patient charts.
- View patient’s radiology images from ÌÇÐÄvlogÃÛÌÒ’s PACS.
- Request and access release of information.
- Care Everywhere is Epic Systems’ interoperability application, which allows users from other organizations to access patient charts within Epic. The functionality extends to a few other EMR systems such as Athena, NextGen, eCW, etc. if the organization is signed up on a Health Information Exchange.
- EpicCare Link is Epic’s browser-based extension, which can be used by community providers and care facilities for the continuation of care.

- The Site administrator will be able to request the required level of access for the list of identified users, and users will be notified via email when their access is granted.
EpicCare Link provides view-only access to the patient's full ÌÇÐÄvlogÃÛÌÒ health record, including lab results, diagnostic test results, procedural information, progress notes, medications, allergies, medical history, and more.
Users who have a relationship to the patient (such as referring physician or staff) will have access to the patient’s health record for 10 days following the user’s first log-in to EpicCare Link. Users can also manually search for the patient using certain required criteria after the initial 10-day period.

No, there is no cost to access ÌÇÐÄvlogÃÛÌÒ’s EpicCare Link portal. EpicCare Link is a web-based service that does not need any additional installation on your servers or computers.
No, users are not allowed to share their username and password with anyone else, as specified in the Terms and Conditions of using EpicCare Link. Patient health information confidentiality requires each individual user to have their own username and password.
