Driven by a lifelong passion for science and an interest in the simple yet complex facets that connect us to our family, I committed to genetic counseling. My undergraduate research honed my analytical skills and introduced me to bioinformatics and genome analysis using Python and R, skills that were further strengthened in my professional roles as a Medical Laboratory Scientist and subsequently as a Genomic Analyst. These roles deepened my appreciation for the constant evolution of genetics and continue to drive my commitment to remaining immersed in research that advances the field.

Acknowledging the underrepresentation of diverse groups, my integration into this field aims to lessen the disparities within healthcare by cultivating and advocating for a space that reflects the vibrancy and light of our current society. My goal is to merge my scientific interests with compassionate care, contribute to the evolution of genetic counseling, and enhance patient outcomes. I am excited to embark on this journey with a program led by providers and professionals eager to support these goals.
