Professional Statement
Dr. Edward Buchanan treats infants, children and teenagers with a wide variety of plastic surgery related conditions. He specializes in pediatric craniofacial surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery, facial fractures and reconstruction, cranial vault remodeling for craniosynostosis, and midfacial and mandibular distraction.
Dr. Buchanan is an assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Plastic Surgery in the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at ÌÇÐÄvlogÃÛÌÒ of Medicine. Dr. Buchanan specializes in pediatric plastic surgery, cleft lip and palate, and craniofacial surgery.
Dr. Buchanan earned his medical degree from Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his residency in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Stanford University Medical Center and his Craniofacial/Pediatric Plastic Surgery fellowship training at the Seattle Children’s Hospital/Harbor View Medical Center.
