Professional Statement
Eric Martinez has been with BCM Emergency Medicine since 2012. He is currently the program director for the Emergency Medicine APP postgraduate training program and the clerkship coordinator for the BCM PA students rotating through the emergency department. Eric serves on several emergency department committees and oversees APP, development recruitment, and onboarding. He served on the BCM faculty senate from 2020 to 2023 and was recently appointed to the Harris Health System medical staff advisory council. In 2020, he was elected to the American Academy of Physician Associates board after serving as president of the Texas Academy of PAs in 2019.
In 2019, his PA school, Texas Tech, inducted him into the Phi Alpha honors society for his contributions to the PA profession. He was also honored as a distinguished alum in 2024. In 2023, BCM awarded him the Carl Fasser Visionary Leadership Award.
