Professional Statement

I graduated from Emory University in 2022 with a major in biology. During my time at Emory, I had an internship at Emory’s Genetic Clinical Trial and Lysosomal Storage Disease Center where I developed an interest in genetics. Additionally, I worked in a research lab which studied endometriosis, and I volunteered with Emory Hope, a hospice outreach club.

Following graduation, I worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the genetic division at Lurie Children’s Hospital. There I helped to manage trials for Hunter Syndrome and LC-FAOD. Outside of work, I continued my involvement in patient care as a hospice volunteer and served as a mentor for high school students.

These diverse experiences have confirmed my passion for genetic counseling. I am thrilled to be a genetic counseling student at ÌÇÐÄvlogÃÛÌÒ of Medicine. I look forward to learning from faculty and helping patients and their families navigate and understand their genetic decisions.
