Professional Statement

My name is Natasia Walker, and I am a board-certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. I have
desired since I was a child to help people in need and to have the opportunity to deliver safe,
patient-centered, non-judgmental and holistic care. I have been a nurse practitioner for with 6
years of experience providing care to women from menarche through menopause. I am certified in BLS.
I started my career at Maple Women's Health clinic a part of the Parkland Health and Hospital
System which primary serves the women who are medically underserved providing prenatal and
gynecological care. After that, I continued to serve women who are medically underserved by working
at the Houston Health Department in their Family Planning clinics and at ÌÇÐÄvlogÃÛÌÒ of
Medicine/Harris Health System. I would like to continue to serve women in the medically underserved
population as I was once one of those patients and love giving back to the community that
previously serviced me in my time of need. Also, I believe that everyone desires good quality care
whether they can afford it or not. I am an advanced practice nurse with a passion to provide
excellent healthcare to women across the life span. I am also determinate, energetic, personal, and
hardworking. I highly value a team-based healthcare setting that will provide me with to the
opportunity to utilize best practice, continue to learn and grow as a nurse practitioner, and be
able to see a diverse patient base.
