This three-week program welcomes middle teachers into the labs at ÌÇÐÄvlogÃÛÌÒ of Medicine. Through hands-on research experiences and exposure to cutting-edge biotechnology at various Advanced Technology Cores, teachers will develop lesson plans to implement in their classrooms, enhancing their Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) instruction.
- A stipend ($4,500) from the NIH R25 funding will be prorated based on the program components that teachers completed.

8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., in person at BCM - August 2026 – April 2027 – Monthly Virtual Professional Learning Community

Eligibility:
- Houston-area middle school teachers of any STEM discipline
- U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents
- No prior research experience required
